Job Description

Position Summary:

The Project, Legal (2L Student) will work on projects related to the daily work of the NBA's Legal and Business Affairs department. They will gain exposure to both the League and Properties sides of our business, learning how league lawyers and staff support different departments within the company. Past projects have included drafting entries and maintaining a log of advice sent to teams; researching relevant labor laws in states with NBA teams; drafting term sheets for player appearances; helping to draft partner and licensing agreements and researching intellectual property issues. The duration of the assignment is approximately one year.

Major Responsibilities:

Required Skills/Knowledge:

* Candidates should be Law students in the second year of their program, and able to work out of our New York, NY office between 15-30 hours per week.
* Candidates must be in excellent academic standing and display strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Candidates should possess leadership skills demonstrated through relevant extracurricular activities along with meaningful internship or other experience.
