Our Software Applications Engineer in Dallas, Texas serves as a technical expert for Murata's Wi-Fi and Bluetooth product line in the Americas. You will provide key software support for Murata's customers and partners including software development, integration, debug, test and documentation. Additionally, your system software/hardware knowledge will be called upon when deep-diving on various issues. Lastly, an integral part of this role is enhancing Murata's partnerships with various leaders in the Semiconductor industry using strong customer-facing and teamwork skills.


Leading Candidate Profile:

* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent major
* Five+ years' experience developing device drivers on embedded Linux and/or Android platforms
* Three+ years' experience supporting wireless device drivers on Linux and/or Android
* Working experience using ARM microprocessors and implementing power-save solutions
* Experience debugging hardware/firmware/software system issues on embedded platforms
* Customer-facing work experience
* Knowledge of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth (Classic and Low Energy), PCIe, SDIO, PCM, and/or UART specifications preferred
* Working experience debugging Wi-Fi and Bluetooth issues preferred
* Working experience with wireless (Wi-Fi and Bluetooth) regulatory testing (i.e. FCC and CE) a plus
* Working knowledge using various debugging tools: oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, logic analyzer, wireless sniffer, and protocol analyzer preferred
* Strong communications skills
* Demonstrated time management skills to accomplish long-term assignments
* Demonstrated success with cross-functional collaboration
* Well-developed presentation skills
* Strong judgment, problem-solving and analytical skills
* Ability to consistently deal with changing conditions
* Infrequent domestic travel
