Primary Objective:
Strengthen Sensors’ market leader position by customer-focused and goal-oriented electrical design incorporating time and cost targets. Continuous improvement of product design for performance, quality, manufacturability and cost.

Major Areas of Accountability:
1. Develops Electrical and Software design under the commercial, technical specification and design standards:
• Analysis, simulations, prototyping and debug
• Product cost targets
• Product release and application documentation
• Continuous Engineering

2. Adheres to the internal engineering design processes by maintaining
• Project documentations
• Project timelines
• Peer reviews
• Design reviews
• Cross functional and cross division communication

3. Manages design projects for standard series products, custom products and product modification.
• Actively participates in system and detail design
• Creates and controls project timeline, resource utilization and cost targets

4. Provides internal and external technical support.
• Manufacturing support for product release, tooling, testing solutions, troubleshooting and continuous engineering
• Material support with vendor selection and alternative solutions
• Technical Marketing/Sales support with technical product specifications, product customization, and customer visits for technology viability.
• Service and Repair with customer troubleshooting visits.
• Technical expertise for the worldwide engineering group

5. Develops and provides training to Technical Marketing, Manufacturing and Service on:
• New and existing MTS products
• MTS Core technology
• Current and emerging competitive technologies
• Competitor analysis
• Current and emerging standards

6. Keeps related groups and management informed of progress and support delays in time to market demands. Creates and delivers product and technology presentations - internally and externally. requirements to prevent

7. Knows and applies the division’s quality policy and procedures of ISO 9001 as it relates to the area of responsibility and the organization. Follows all standard operating procedures as prescribed and notifies appropriate personnel of any non-conformance.

8. Stays current with the state-of-the-art technologies, products, development tools, test equipment, etc…

9. Other duties as assigned.



- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, Masters Degree desired

- Completed internship in R&D environment in Control Industry

- Knowledge of product development methodologies
