Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To function as a member of the Marketing Team whose primary role would be to handle all corporate graphic design and produce promotional materials to ensure a consistent MBT image across sales and donor materials, while helping with overall outreach, promotion, strategy and advertising. RESPONSIBILITIES: -Manage the artistic design and development of assigned print and electronic materials, creating and maintaining a designated look and brand for MBT. Work efficiently from a queue of assigned projects, as well as driving design of collaborative work tracking tools and organizational systems. Produce complete print (newspapers, magazine, fliers, posters) digital and direct mail pieces within guidelines of necessary print templates, mailing templates, delivery file types, and look and feel of each audience/publication. Arrive at layouts that ultimately tell the correct story and promote the correct aspects -Manage proofing of pieces both internally and with external partners -Work with external sources for design assets to merge messaging of shows with our brand within allowed limits, track and upkeep current design assets from promotors, agents, and artists for shows we present -Manage printing and distribution of materials: in-house poster and flier printing, communication with printers for outsourced printing projects, communication with editors for delivering assets to publications -Manage / design and maintain MBT's asset storage filing in a way that allows quick and efficient access by staff for any purpose and allows for archiving of some assets and not others -Manage / coordinate photo or video shoots for use in promotional campaigns -Other duties as assigned by the Associate Executive Director and in keeping with the team environment of the Marketing department. QUALIFICATIONS: Two years previous employment experience in graphic design and production, college degree related to marketing preferred. Experience working in Adobe Creative Suite, Excel and Word. Must be highly organized and detail oriented, able to work from / within collaborative software solutions. Willingness and ability to work closely and professionally with volunteers, board members, patrons, and staff required. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to organize time and work across project due dates. Ability to keep calm, productive and pleasant in a job that has constant interruptions, numerous and diverse projects and responsibilities, tight deadlines, and a creative atmosphere. Passion for our mission a plus! WORK SCHEDULE: Full-time position. Standard Office hours are 8:30 - 5:30 Monday through Friday. Attendance is occasionally required at meetings and significant public events on-siteduring hours outside the normal work week. Must be able to work extended hours if necessary to meet mailing or print deadlines or to achieve the goals of the position. CLASSIFICATION: Regular Full-Time Salaried (DOE).
