Job Description

: Teaching environmental engineering courses; developing and sustaining a nationally competitive research program; researching and advising students; providing instruction in accordance with course descriptions, outlining class schedules; helping students obtain internships, scholarships, etc.; evaluating student learning skills and abilities; maintaining records of student evaluations, using Starfish; posting course materials, quizzes, tests, homework and project assignments on Black Board; submitting reports on attendance, grades, roll books and class information sheets in a timely fashion; attending departmental meetings and assisting the Chair in writing proposals and/or running the funded research and performing other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: The successful candidate will have achieved at least a Doctorate Degree in Environmental Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited college or university. The candidate will have experience as an instructor of record.

Requirements: Should be a registered professional Engineer or demonstrate progress toward becoming registered; prior experience in with a track record of excellence in teaching, grantsmanship, research and peer review publications; evidence of curriculum development and the ability to relate well with others within a multiethnic and multi culturally diverse student population.
