Part Time Administrative Support Secretary, West Campus

Part Time Support Staff (P-3); Hourly Rate: $15.92

Reports to: Interim Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Closing date for applications is 10/21/18. 

Hours: 25 hours per week. 8:00 am - 2:30 pm Monday - Tuesday and 8:00 am - 2:00 pm Wednesday - Thursday.

 

Basic Purpose of Job: 

This 12-month Part-Time Support Staff position (25 hours- 8-2:30 on Monday and Tuesday and 8-2 on Wednesday and Thursday) provides support to the West Campus programs, students and courses and completes assigned duties for college wide initiatives as needed. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:         

• Provide administrative support to the West Campus programs, faculty, and Assistant Dean and college wide initiatives as needed     

• Interface with West Campus students, faculty, and community members to provide procedural guidance, address issues, and assist in resolving concerns. 

• Enter and maintain course and faculty information for West Campus programs and courses.     

• Order and maintain program supplies, memberships, and accreditation fees.   

• Compile necessary materials and schedule meeting and events for a variety of program meetings. Attend related events, meetings, and functions.

• Performs related duties as assigned.   

 

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

1. Education/Training/Work Experience:

• High School diploma or GED required with 2 years work related experience required OR

• Associate’s degree may be preferred

• Proficiency in computer skills

• Excellent communication, both written and oral

 

2. Specialized Knowledge & Skills:

• Knowledge of specific College software or process

• Customer service experience

 

3. Additional Information Required:

• Ability to multitask

• Attention to detail

• Ability to maintain confidentiality

• Ability to prioritize workload

• Ability to use some discretion and judgment

• Ability to work within a team-oriented setting
