Job Description

The Business Management & Research Analyst is responsible for supporting the activities of both the Recapitalization and Restructuring & Equity and Debt Capital Advisory groups. The Analyst will be an integral resource and team member and is expected to take on significant responsibility across business development, data administration, pipeline management, and reporting & analysis.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Assist in prospecting new business opportunities, and maintaining internal materials/dashboards that track business development efforts
* Provide support for a full range of financial and strategic transactions across both private placement and public advisory mandates
* Capital raising-related and ad-hoc research (both equity and debt) for live mandates
* Maintain weekly internal presentations and assist in improving structure of internal reports
* Participate in internal meetings
* Prepare marketing materials
* Assist in preparation of strategy decks and marketing materials
* Develop knowledge of buy-side investor universe, including private equity, hedge funds, non-bank lenders and alternative institutional investors
* Support group presentations and capital market updates
* Maintenance of multiple databases in Excel and Salesforce

Preferred Qualifications:

* Undergraduate degree, preferably in a business-related discipline with a strong undergraduate record and references
* Knowledge of business, economics and/or finance through education or experience
* 1-3 years of experience in the financial services industry preferred
* Strong technical/computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, relevant market data services, Salesforce is a plus)
* Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills (i.e. financial and data analysis)
* Strong organizational skills
* Excellent written and oral communications skills
* Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy
