Job Description

Natural language documents are increasingly becoming an important resource to augment cyber systems and operations, whether it be mining web resources for emerging threat information, classifying email documents as benign or malicious, or assessing whether a user's account has been compromised. For this project, the student will explore methods that leverage the content of natural language documents to enhance cyber situational awareness and/or cyber security.

The ideal candidate is interested in machine learning and data mining, and will have a strong background in mathematics or statistics, as well as some experience in programming and data analysis. The candidate should also possess strong writing and communication skills. Students at both undergraduate and graduate levels will be considered. Relevant fields of study are mathematics, statistics, computer science (emphasis on data science), physics, economics, and other related fields.
