Job Description

Responsibilities

Mission Linen Supply is seeking an experienced Accounting Intern. This position will have the primary responsibility for supporting the Accounting Department. Must be able to prioritize and multitask, meet deadlines and stay organized. The ideal candidate should be forward thinking and have great communication skills. Must have ability to write, type, and enter information into computer to prepare correspondence, statements, receipts, or other documents, copying information from one record to another.

Qualifications

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Experience understanding and following instructions and procedures quickly and timely
* Ability to effectively manage large amounts of information
* Create, maintain, and enter information into databases with high degree of accuracy
* Ability to prepare invoices, reports, memos, letters, and other documents, using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software.
* Ensure adherence to quality standards, deadlines, and proper procedures
* Organize, monitor, and track numerous ongoing and one-time activities, events and projects
* Manage, maintain and ensure all invoices are paid on time with appropriate documentation
* Reconciling vendor accounts by researching and correcting discrepancies
* Ability to solve problems with little supervision
* Other duties as needed

ABILITIES REQUIRED:

* Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal direction.
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Proficiency with MS Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
