Position Details:

Job Summary

Responsible for coordinating day-to-day community family services programming. This role supports the Family Services Team (Family Services Manager, Admissions Coordinator, Family Coach, and Volunteer Coordinator) by supporting the consistent quality of Jeremiah Program's key program elements including reporting and collaborating with outside networks for continued support and program enhancement. This position will have responsibility for Family Services programming such as Graduation and other participant ceremonies, community and partnership outreach, and more. This position may require occasional work on evenings and on Saturdays for family services programming, special events (e.g. Graduation, Welcome Dinners, or community outreach events).

Primary Responsibilities:

A. Program Support

* Responsible for working in collaboration with the Family Services Manager to monitor program delivery and support quality and Support other Family Services team members with projects, as needed.
* Manage the logistics of empowerment classes, life skills classes, biannual graduation and other programming events, be onsite for weekly classes, and lead set-up/clean-up for programming (e.g., arrange room, prepare course materials, clean-up after events, coordinate with facilitators/volunteers, etc.)
* Assist Family Services team with research for community resources, opportunities, and partnerships for program
* Collaborate with the Development Team when needed.
* Collaborate with Family Services Manager to ensure accurate and concise reporting.
* Support the Family Services team with ongoing data entry for applicants, participants, residents, and volunteers; collecting grant data; ensuring timely data collection and reporting.
* Provide support for Programs Committee meetings in collaboration with the Family Services Manager.
* In collaboration with other staff, provide support and back-up coverage in classrooms during monthly Child Development Center team meetings, or as needed.
* Answer phones, direct calls, and greet visitors to the campus, as needed.
* Work closely with the Family Services Manager and the Family Services Team to identify the team's administrative needs.

B. Community Outreach

* Lead community outreach efforts by identifying community organizations, groups, and events as possible sources for volunteers, donors, recruitment for applicants, and resources for program participants.
* Conduct outreach via phone, email, and in-person to promote Jeremiah Program; representing Jeremiah Program in meetings, outreach events, other venues; collaborate to connect outreach contacts back to appropriate staff (e.g. Volunteer Coordinator, Development, Family Services Staff); and cultivate community outreach partnerships.
* Nurture new and current relationships with collaborative partners.
* Attend community partner meetings.
* Maintain a calendar of outreach activities, including community events, workshops, appearances, and other communication opportunities.
* Maintain an outreach database of contacts.

C. Volunteer Services Support

* Work with Volunteer Coordinator to provide high-quality, Jeremiah-specific training curriculum for programming
* Work with Volunteer Coordinator to identify volunteer needs and delegate non-confidential Family Services work to
* In collaboration with Volunteer Services, coordinate Family Services programming events, resident events, and donation programs (i.e. Welcome Dinners, Fall Harvest, Holiday Happiness, Back to School, Friday Fun Day, etc.)
* Support Volunteer Services with data entry and record retention.
* In collaboration with Volunteer Services, lead community events on campus providing general information about Jeremiah Program (e.g., open house, outreach events, etc.)
* Leverage volunteers and interns to increase organizational capacity.

D. Other duties as assigned

* All Jeremiah Program employees are mandated reporters and are legally required to ensure a report is made when abuse is observed or suspected.
* Support other Jeremiah Program Austin staff as needed.
