Description

Cheyanna's Champions for Children (CC4C) supports the community of families and children with rare or undiagnosed conditions. Our Vision is any child, anywhere, without answers to their illness will have a community to turn to for resources and support to heal. Based in Bee Cave, just outside Austin, CC4C is seeking a Full-Time Development Coordinator with one to two years of college or equivalent experience. Bachelor's degree preferred in social services or other related field. Experience in nonprofit development, community outreach and/or volunteer management preferred.

Overview of Position: Reporting to the Executive Director, the Development Coordinator will coordinate donor engagement, public appeals and fundraising event activities as defined in the CC4C Development Plan. This includes managing an annual development calendar involving staff and volunteers in two major public events as well as direct and online appeals.

Responsibilities:

* Manage donation records, donor communication, and track donor retention in Neon CRM. Query and generate various reports as requested.
* Set up campaigns, events, appeals and social fundraising features in Neon for donor traction and analysis.
* Research and coordinate submission of grant applications (state, federal, county and corporate) and managing the annual cycle of deadlines.
* Support the Executive Director as needed in donor meetings and follow up communications, especially as it relates to in-kind contributions.
* Manage ongoing appreciation and acknowledgement of gifts including support of Executive Director, staff and board in their acknowledgement of donors.
* Support Executive Director and Operations Director in compliance with annual audit.
* Ensure all website communication, appeals and donation pages are updated and working properly.
* Work with the Executive Director to coordinate and plan donor gatherings for Impact Circle members.
* Provide additional support as needed or defined.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience

* One to 2 years of college or equivalent experience. Bachelor's degree preferred in social services or other related field. Experience in nonprofit development, community outreach and/or volunteer management preferred.

Knowledge, skills and abilities

Skills Needed:

* Skillfully organized and motivated
* Coordination and experience with volunteers and events
* One to two years of business marketing education or training
* One to two years of experience with database or excel spreadsheets
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point).
* Interpersonal Skills - comfort with donor relationships and "asks"
* Effective writing and verbal communication skills

Preferred:

* Two to three years of entry level experience and/or internship in marketing, sales or nonprofit development work.
* Knowledge of use of website and social media apps in marketing/fundraising
* Proficient in spreadsheet and database software applications.

Working Conditions

* The Development Coordinator position is full-time 40 hours per week but may flex work occasional evenings and weekends for development activities.
* This position may work in the CC4C office environment and/or in nonstandard work environment
