Plant Superintendent - Control Your Own Slice of a 75 Year Company - Berkeley, SC

The Basics

Mid-Continent Coal and Coke Company is looking for a Plant Superintendent. We're a strong company with over 75 years of history and a track record of steady growth. We need someone to manage all aspects of our brand new processing/screening location in Berkeley, SC. This person will have complete control over maintenance, management and leadership of the Plant and Operators. Why This Position Matters to Us

This brand new plant in SC is a slice of our company. This plant will be a bright, new example of what our processing and screening plants can be. We are determined to have this location thrive. The Superintendent we hire for this plant will oversee it all. You'll be bringing in and training operators, keeping up with the equipment, keeping everyone safe and running the entire show. This role is incredibly important to us.

What Will You Be Doing?

Essential Supervisory Responsibilities:

- Recruit, hire and train operators

- Maintain safe working environment

- Create and maintain daily, weekly and/or monthly schedules and reports

- Maintain payroll and performance for employees

Operations Duties and Responsibilities:

- Maintain safe operations and processes for the plant; able to write safe job procedures

- Provide preventative maintenance on equipment, including preventative maintenance; replacing parts, belts, etc.

- Develop relationships with local vendors and suppliers

- Oversees quality and quantity of production for facility

- Operates Computer Controls; PLC and/or computer guided equipment

- Operates Forklift, Skid Steer and Front End Loader

- Covers for operators when workload requires; loads and unloads material, as needed

- Performs various maintenance activities

What do we think would make you successful in this role?

- At least 5 years of operations leadership experience

- Some College or equivalent leadership experience
