Microsemi is currently looking for a New Graduate Engineer to join our Advanced Engineering Services Division as a Technology Access Engineer in Burnaby, BC, Canada.

Responsibilities:

* Deployment and support of Very-Deep Sub-Micron (VDSM) process technology nodes by working closely with foundry directly
* Integrate foundation IP (memory, IO, standard cells) from various vendors into Microsemi infrastructure such as development of custom cells, custom timing corners. Integration will involve familiarity of entire development cycle from synthesis to place and route, to final static timing verification
* Development and support of timing closure methodology for each technology node
* Development and support of chip-level power estimation methodology for each technology node
* Audit and support of chip-level padring development for each project
* Communicate regularly with the project teams to resolve issues and to ensure meeting targeted goals and schedule.

Qualifications:
Fresh graduate with B.Eng Electrical or Computer Engineering (or Equivalent) with 0 + yrs. experience.
Basic design knowledge of standard cells, memory, and IO.
Understanding of silicon process technology (90nm, 65nm, 40nm and etc).
Scripting skill in any programming language
Able to work independently under local project lead/supervisor mentorship
Debugging, problem solving and analytical skills
Good verbal and written communication skills

Desired Qualifications:
1+ years of prior ASIC development experience
Knowledge of timing requirements and physical design
Scripting skill in Pearl, Tcl, Python
Mixed-signal layout knowledge
