Job Description

Microsemi Frequency & Time Division (FTD) provides world-class timing solutions and sets the world's standard for time. FTD's customers from telecom service providers and network equipment manufacturers to governments and their suppliers worldwide, are able to build more reliable networks and systems by using the company's advanced timing technologies, atomic clocks, services and solutions. Microsemi FTD located in Boulder, CO is considering candidates for an entry level Manufacturing Test Engineer to work with our team. This position will be responsible for major programs in manufacturing engineering to improve the performance as well as the processes associated with assembly and test of system level timing products.ResponsibilitiesUnder the direction of the Operations Director, the Test Engineer will:

* Implement new and update existing product testing algorithms on ATE (automatic test equipment) by writing and optimizing control software
* Design and improve data collection and data base of multiple products' parametric data
* Data extraction, statistical analysis and presentation of parametric data
* Automation of existing manual test operations
* Work with manufacturing team to maintain and generate drawings, assembly / test procedures and travelers for new & existing products.
* Provide support to assembly personnel
* Interface closely with design engineering and production management

Qualifications: Essential Qualifications

* B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or Applied Computer Science
* Programming skills, preferably LabView and Python
* Knowledge of database structure and use
* Demonstrated ability to work successfully in diverse engineering teams
* Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
* Flexible and willing to take on whatever tasks are required
* U.S. Citizenship is required

Desired Qualifications

* Experience automating electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, frequency counters, etc.
* CAD experience
* RF, Microwave or Timing experience
* Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite of programs
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, in English
* Knowledge of quality systems and ISO 9001
