As an enterprise Solid State Drive (eSSD) Test Software Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for firmware verification, managing test plans and creating test programs to ensure a high quality product line. As an entry level position, the specific nature of the daily responsibilities can be expected to evolve and change in the future to meet new goals and business objectives. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Developing firmware tests, system tests, or performing failure analysis on Enterprise SSDs. Interfacing with senior systems engineers, firmware engineers, firmware and systems test engineer, along with quality, and manufacturing groups to support eSSD development efforts.

Minimum Qualifications:

Understanding of computer system architecture fundamentals (internal workings and hardware-software interactions). Understanding troubleshooting/debugging complex computer system issues (application, OS, driver, hardware). Understanding of data manipulation/analysis (spreadsheets or more advanced tools). Understanding of test execution flow. Understanding of bus protocol analyzers i.e. SATA, SAS, or PCIe. Understanding of project oriented programming concepts. Proficiency in creating and following technical procedures. Knowledge in creating software applications. Knowledge of storage interface standards. Knowledge designing firmware test cases. Knowledge creating test applications using object oriented programming techniques. Ability to analyze problems and diagnose to root cause. Work Location: 1900 Pike Road, Suite D, Longmont, CO 80501

Hours of work: Usually 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Degree Required: B.S. or equivalent foreign education

Academic Discipline(s): Electrical or Electronics Engineering; or Computer Science
