Job Description

As a System Test Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for research and development of firmware development, systems engineering, or systems and firmware test strategies and test programs to ensure a high quality product line. As an entry level position, the specific nature of the daily responsibilities can be expected to evolve and change in the future to meet new goals and business objectives. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Developing firmware tests, system tests, or performing failure analysis on Enterprise Solid State Drives (SSDs). Interfacing with senior systems engineers, firmware engineers, firmware and systems test engineer, along with quality, and manufacturing groups to support SSD development efforts.

Minimum Qualifications:

Knowledge through coursework with basic programming concepts such as object oriented design. Knowledge through coursework with operating systems such as Windows and Linux. Knowledge through coursework with computer hardware such as chipsets, motherboards, and RAID cards. The ability to read schematics and or decipher data sheets and technical publications. Knowledge of computer configuration software such as BIOS or RAID. Good analytical and problem solving skills.

Hours of work are usually 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday

Education : BS or equivalent foreign education in Electrical or Electronics Engineering; or Computer Science; or Information Technology.
