Job Description

The candidate will be a member of Wireless Solutions group (advance technology and product WLAN). The design engineer will be responsible for systems design and implementation tasks associated with physical layer algorithms used in wireless products. The candidate must be a team player, self-motivated with good communication skills to work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

* Detailed top level design, modeling and simulation of wireless communications systems including RF, analog, digital Modem and baseband
* Working on RTL design/verification of DSP and digital signal processing subsystems of Wireless Modem
* Development of detailed specifications for both RF/Analog and digital baseband PHY hardware blocks
* PHY performance characterization and optimization and SoC functional verification against system models and real world testing scenarios
* Development of PHY system models to aid in decision-making process and optimization of SoC cost, power consumption and size
* Design documentation and IP generation.

Job Requirements

* New grad PhD in Digital communications theory, signal processing, random processes and/or computer-based link-level simulation and modeling
* Experience in the RTL design of signal processing is a must and Wireless Modem
* Strong background in digital signal processing and communication theory.
* Ability to design, analyze and simulate algorithms using Matlab/C/C++.
* An in-depth knowledge of WLAN, Bluetooth and Zigbee standards is a plus
* Good team working, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
