About micro tech staffing

Microtech Staffing Group (MTSG) is one of the premier employee staffing firms along the East Coast, providing highly qualified temporary and permanent personnel to business and industry. Located in Quincy, MA, MTSG also provides back-office services to independently-owned staffing firms including billing and payroll and serves as the financing arm for those companies. MTSG was founded in 1985 by Joseph Donahue to meet the need for skilled temporary and permanent personnel in the high tech sector. Starting in the basement of his parents' home in Waltham, MA, Joe provided skilled workers for the thriving high tech industry along Massachusetts' Route 128 belt. From that first year, earning a narrow profit of $600, Joe has steadily built a corporation with annual revenues of more than $50 million. By broadening employment sectors MTSG serves and extending the client base from New Hampshire to Florida, Joe led the company through turbulent times such as the dot.com bust of 2000-2003 that sunk many other staffing firms. Today MTSG provides more than 1,500 workers each day to companies in accounting, administration, biotech, distribution, engineering, finance, human resources, information technology and manufacturing. Joe graduated from Boston College High School in 1974, then earned a degree in biology from Boston College in 1978. He received his MBA from Babson College in 1980. Prior to starting MTSG Joe spent five years as an operations manager at Honeywell Inc., and as an operations consultant at QSC Consulting. Joe brings the same passion he has for his work to his volunteer efforts for Boston College High School. He serves as vice chairman of the board of trustees and led the fundraising effort to upgrade the facilities of one of the best Catholic high schools in the country.
