We are currently recruiting for a Pricing Intern located in our Support Center (Global Headquarters) located in Irving, TX.

What will you be doing?

The Pricing Intern will drive the analysis and execution of the Pricing and Promotions strategy and tactics. Exceptionally strong analytical and math skills are required, along with experience manipulating large data sets across disparate systems using Microsoft Excel or Tableau and collaboration skills are required to create strong cross-functional relationships with Category Management, Marketing, Operations and IT, leading in efforts to drive change management throughout the company.

How will you do it?


* Conduct analysis to support pricing initiatives, adding rigor to existing methodologies and developing key metrics and analytics to support pricing strategy and tactics
* Gather data and perform complex analysis manipulating large data sets to create thoughtful, robust business analyses
* Analyze issues, develops insight and formulate data-based hypotheses
* Develop and implement best-in-class analytic tools that support the core category business planning processes

Promotion Pricing Analysis:

* Work with GMM, Buyer and Director of Ad Planning to analyze results and recommend items and prices for future ads.
* Provide analytical insights on which promotions work best for each product offering with Buyer and Planner collaboration
* Work on developing/fine tuning Promotional Playbooks utilizing in house tools and other data sources to provide insights that DMM's and buyers can use to improve promotion performance.

Regular Price Strategy and Analysis:

* Work with Pricing Directors, Pricing Managers, Category Management and Store Operations to measure competitive pricing and how we can need to adjust our pricing to be more competitive and improve price perception
* Analyze and measure results of price zone changes, price changes, and price tests conducted
* Analyze performance by category and market to make recommendations on tests to run and actions to roll out to the chain

Clearance Price Strategy and Analysis:

* Work closely with Pricing Directors, Inventory Management and Merchandising to develop clearance cadence strategies
* Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

What Skills you will need to do your job?

* BS/BA in progress, Math, Statistics or Engineering preferred
* Exposure to Tableau, Microsoft Excel, SQL, and other analytical software
* Analyst role in an analytical function a plus
* Experience developing processes and methodologies from the ground up
* Retail or consumer products experience a plus
