Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

If you are selected for this position, you may be trained to use a few different types of pipette's and how to use them accurately.

* Refine and document the 3D prints cleaning operations
* Maintain 3D printer equipment
* Remove support material from freshly printed models
* Work in close collaboration with a mechanical engineer where this intern will investigate new designs for pipettes.
* Need to be well organized, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced, international business environment. This position requires a self-motivated person who possesses strong engineering and problem-solving skills and displays pride in his/her work.
* You may be assisting in the design or improvement of test fixturing.
* You may be recording data, analyzing the data and drawing conclusions from the data.
* You will be using state of the art pipettes and laboratory scales and other Laboratory equipment.
* You will be using your observations backed up by test data and conclusions to suggest improvements to mechanical systems.

What You Need to Succeed

* Working knowledge of 3D modeling program(s), preferably Autodesk Inventor

* Working knowledge of basic ME principles, such as tolerancing and fits

* Familiarity with mechanical drawings and dimensioning

* A solid understanding of the fundamentals of the scientific method and a proven ability to troubleshoot experimental design/prototypes

* Exhibit a high degree of ownership on projects and commitment to achieving results

* Experience with fluidics and robotics is a plus.
