Role Value Proposition: 

As part of the MetLife’s Marketing Technology Analytics organization, this position will play a critical role in building and evangelizing a world-class digital analytics technology team to assist in the implementation and actionable analysis of the MetLife’s customer experience and customer behaviors across our digital properties.  This role requires extensive hands on experience and expertise with Adobe (former Omniture) Analytics tools (Sitecatalyst, Discover, Data Workbench). Additionally, specific experience in developing measurement plans and tagging strategies (as well as having the ability to QA tags) for Web Analytics is required.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with key marketing stakeholders to understand the evolving business objectives in order to develop the appropriate measurement plan and tagging strategy for Adobe Analytics

  • Assist in deployment guides and documentation for website kick-offs, redesigns and/or campaign launches with Adobe Analytics & Google DoubleClick

  • Hands on knowledge working with data layers to expose user events and actions on webpages

  • Perform data quality audits, identify data collection issues, suggest improvements and implement fixes

  • Provide thought leadership to data collection and ways to standardize across a global environment

  • Establish governance, best practice operational and ad-hoc processes for data capture changes

  • Provide thought leadership to  a team of vendors and contractors to help maintain and improve the web analytics implementation

  • Acting as a liaison between business owners and application development teams

  • Utilize various tools (Web Analytics, Heatmapping, Replay Session and Online Surveys) to come up with holistic digital analytics data model to help the reporting /BI teams to tell the story of online experience

  • Educate and evangelize the value prop of digital analytics across MetLife


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience performing and leading Web Analytics deployments
  • 2+ years of digital marketing experience
  • Expertise in Adobe Analytics tools (SiteCatalyst, DTM) required
  • Experience developing web measurement plans and leading Adobe Analytics tagging implementations; hands on global deployments and global data models is a plus
  • Experience with User Experience tools such as OpinionLab and Qualtrics is a plus
  • Practical problem solving, ability to identify and interpret patterns, trends and anomalies in data
  • Ability to handle several multi-faceted projects at once
  • Extremely strong written and verbal communication skills, collaboration skills; great attention to detail
  • Experience developing collaborative relationships and partnerships with the business and technology departments that drive business results, including the ability to translate between technical and non-technical people
  • Proven self-starter who thrives in a fast paced, start up environment within a large organization
  • Bachelors in any STEM related fields
