Role Value Proposition:

The position requires an understanding of GAAP and SEC reporting requirements and corresponding financial statement presentation, an understanding of the many legal entities comprising the enterprise and an understanding of period-ending close processes and procedures.  The manager must work closely with other financial reporting teams and the company’s technical accounting group. The position is responsible for the successful support of and interaction with each line of business controller, internal legal departments and all functional areas providing financial data.  The position is responsible for coordination and effective interaction with the internal and external auditors.  These responsibilities are critical to meeting internal and external reporting requirements and deadlines.


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Manage the annual and/or quarterly preparation of the GAAP and SEC consolidated Statements of Cash Flows to meet all reporting requirements and filing deadlines.
  • Review of GAAP/SEC reporting requirements and completion of disclosure checklists, as well as coordination with internal and external auditors.
  • Respond to other reporting requirements as necessary to support the reporting process and business decisions.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Full people management responsibility. Responsible for effective hiring, firing, promotions, and performance appraisals and management, salary administration, training assessments and development plans, etc. for staff.


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

  • 7-10 years of experience in Accounting, Finance or a similar field of expertise (which includes managerial experience)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a similar field of expertise
  • GAAP and/or SEC reporting experience is required.


Preferred Business Experience:

  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Powerpoint
  • Completion of, or working towards CPA or MBA highly desired
  • Candidate must have demonstrated leadership competencies in current or historical roles.
  • Candidate must have strong oral and written communication, analytical and interpersonal skills and be able to interact in an effective manner with all levels of personnel.
  • Time management and documentation skills are considered vital for this role.
  • Requires a high degree of professionalism, sound judgment and discretion in communications with internal and external parties.
  • Candidate should possess strong facilitation skills with the ability to effectively communicate and build professional working relationships with senior management, line of business and functional area representatives and associates.
  • The ability to work independently as well as in team environment, while managing multiple assignments simultaneously and having a strong service orientation is considered ideal.
