Project Engineer Co-op


We are currently seeking Project Engineer Co-op to join the Messer team in our Cincinnati, Dayton, Columbus, Indianapolis, Lexington, Louisville, Nashville, Knoxville and Charlotte offices.

Job Summary:

This position supports Messer projects at the project site with the primary responsibility of assisting the site Project Manager and Project Engineer in the management and administration of the project. .

Responsibilities are as follows:

These responsibilities will vary from project to project but generally would include some or all of the following:

* Site and building layout
* Document control
* Quality control
* Field production analysis
* Project controls input (scheduling, cost reporting, PM solutions)
* Subcontractor and work force coordination
* Shop drawing/submittal control
* Material and equipment expediting
* Subcontractor/supplier solicitation
* Experience working with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
* Experience with using an iPad

Minimum Requirements:

* Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management with a focus on construction. processes/industry/delivery methods
* Must have excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees.
* Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks.


* Possess all auditory, speaking and communicating capabilities.
* Physical requirements: sitting, standing, walking, bending, twisting, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 25lbs., seeing and reading.
