Job Description

David H. Koch Center for Cancer Care- Surgical Oncology Clinical Nurse

The David H. Koch Center for Cancer Care is the newest addition to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center's facilities. The Center is scheduled to open in late 2019, providing dynamic outpatient setting for leading-edge cancer treatments. The Koch Center will allow MSK to achieve greater efficiencies while enhancing the patient experience.

You are:

You will:

* Work within Nurse-Physician based Ambulatory Care Practice Model caring for Surgical Head and Neck Oncology patients.
* Provide clinical support to staff members.
* Assist with management of a caseload of Surgical Oncology patients.
* Perform patient assessment, symptom management, and telephone triage and offer patient/family education.
* Act as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide continuity of care throughout various stages of treatment and follow-up.
* Participate in the implementation of patient education and clinical support programs to ensure optimal care throughout the healthcare continuum.
* Participate in an individualized training/orientation program geared to providing nursing care in ambulatory setting.

You need:

* New York State RN license and BSN
* 1.5 years of related medical/surgical experience required
* Surgical Oncology experience preferred

Hours: Fulltime (Four days x 10 hour days) flexed Monday - Friday
