Job Description

The Design + Construction Department at Memorial Sloan Kettering is looking for Fall 2019 interns currently enrolled in an Interior Design or Architecture degree program. This is an exciting opportunity for students to learn how forward looking and award winning healthcare spaces (clinical, workplace, research and hospitality) are planned and executed through the lens of patient centered design.

As one of the world's premier cancer centers, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) is committed to the progressive control and cure of cancer through programs of patient care, research and education. Our Design+Construction department (D+C) is committed to excellence in planning, designing and constructing facilities that support the Center's mission.

Please note that students are encouraged to learn by doing; responsibilities to include:

* Site Survey and Documentation
* Interface with end users throughout the Design Phase
* Schematic Design Planning
* Presentations (InDesign, Photoshop, Sample Trays)
* Select, Present, and Specify Furniture, Finishes and Accessories
* Periodically Visit Project Sites During Construction

You will:

* Work a minimum of 2 days per week, 9-5 PM, and we offer a daily stipend of $32.00.
* Begin the internship on Monday, September 9 and work through December 2019

You need:

* Experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator); AutoCAD; Revit; SketchUp; Microsoft Office
* Familiarity with finish and furniture sourcing and specifications
