Medtronic Diabetes' Software Center of Excellence is currently looking for talented and mission-driven software engineers to join our rapidly growing organization as we continue to broaden and develop our software expertise and capabilities. We are a passionate team of software engineers working on exciting projects that span across platforms and disciplines including: embedded devices and firmware, mobile applications, full stack web applications from database through server systems to rich web applications with rich user experience design, connectivity solutions, analytics, visualization, automation and tooling.

Our efforts will directly contribute to a compelling and rapidly developing product portfolio at Medtronic Diabetes. Together, we will develop solutions and products that will transform diabetes care by expanding access, integrating care and improving outcomes, so people with diabetes can enjoy greater freedom and better health.

The Software Test Team has an opportunity for an Associate Software Engineer in Test to help the team utilize automated and simulated test frameworks to script, test, and drive improvements in the quality of our products. In addition, the test team designs, develops, tests, validates, and drives continuous improvements in test automation and simulation frameworks.

Position Responsibilities

- Participate in defining, designing, developing, verifying, and validating test automation and simulation frameworks.
- Read, analyze, understand requirements and provide feedback to members of the requirements, development, and test team.
- Design, implement, execute, and document automated, simulated, and manual tests.
- Prepare, submit, and maintain all required documentations for formal testing.
- Perform and maintain requirements tracing between requirements specifications and test specification.
- Learn and follow defined standards and protocols for the project and/or team.
- Identify, analyze, and solve technical problems with support and guidance from more senior team members.
- Participate in interpreting product designs and requirements to generate test cases and automated test scripts, simulated tests or manual test protocols.
- Participate in conducting test such as black box, white box system level, functional testing; able to execute low-level/white-box tests using test harnesses developed by someone else with guidance.
- Learn and operate electronic laboratory equipment.

Basic Qualifications


- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Scientific Field
- 3+ months of software or test engineering work/internship experience
- Educational or professional experience with Firmware or Software.
- Knowledge in one or more of the following software languages: C, C++, Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, PHP or Objective-C.

Desired/Preferred Qualifications

- Knowledge in Embedded Systems.
- Knowledge in model driven development and/or model driven test: e.g. MATLAB/Simulink.
- Basic knowledge of technology trends and domain expertise.
- Critical thinking

- Self-motivated to strive for excellence.
