Packaging Engineering Co-op

As a Packaging Engineer Co-op, you will support lead packaging engineers to collaborate on process continuous improvement and product commercialization cross-functional project teams. You will be responsible for assisting in design, development, and support of package systems and processes for sterile medical devices including components, assemblies, and end items. You will be responsible for demonstrating high-level performance that delivers high-quality packaging on schedule, which meets customer, patient, and regulatory needs.

Day in the life:

* Assist in development of packaging components, and assemblies for sterile (sterilized by Ethylene Oxide, Steam, Gamma methods), medical products in support of new and existing products
* Assist in implementing changes in the packaging process and materials
* Gain knowledge of FDA and ISO requirements related to packaging, ensuring robust package verification
* Gain experienced with IQ/OQ/PQ as part of packaging processes
* Ensure personal understanding of all quality policy/system items that are per assigned training curriculums. Follow all work/quality procedures to ensure quality system compliance
* Frequent collaboration with other departments and customers.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

* This is a temporary position.
* Responsible for performing and supporting research for teams operating within a service group, or product group and/ or project group.
* Assists with the development, monitoring, coordination and implementation of technical projects as assigned.
* Provides analysis, reporting and internal communication services with team members.
* Develops knowledge of industry and organizational processes.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Packaging or related discipline (In process)

* Demonstrated strong process-orientation and strong interest in continuous improvement.
* Proven excellent communication (written and verbal) skills.
