The Practice ClinicalProduct Specialist (PCPS) is a field-based position primarily responsible forthe implementation and training of Medtronic Gastrointestinal & Hepatology (GIH)practice customers and potential customers on clinical indications andapplications for the GIH product portfolio in partnership with sales. The PCPSwill serve as the customer facing clinical product expert responsible fordeveloping greater customer depth in both product and clinical understanding. The PCPS team may also be required to helpsupport and launch other products that may be developed, sold or promoted by theGIH division in the practice setting. Additionally,the PCPS is required to be continuously responsible for developing theirpersonal greater depth of knowledge to serve as the clinical experts for thecompany. By doing so, the PCPS canconvey this information in an effective manner to help support optimalutilization of the practice portfolio to the widest range of healthcareproviders possible.

A Day in the Life


* Provideclinical product demonstration and clinical education to targeted accountsthrough 1:1 and group interactions to increase customers' understanding andproficiency of Medtronic GIH product portfolio in the practice. Lead post-sales activities, includingimplementation, product education, in-servicing, and ongoing support forMedtronic GIH products

Planning& Execution

* Support sales strategy; working with salesteam to achieve business plans and drive utilization of the products

* Support sales team efforts in lead generationand pre-sale clinical evaluations and demonstrations of products to demonstrateclinical value in the practice setting

* SupportMarketing and sales by appropriately communicating customer feedback, fieldproduct performance and competitive intelligence, as required for currenttechnologies and product launches

* Partner with sales to bring awareness aroundcustomers who could benefit from extended coverage through servicecontracts/plans to new and existing hospital customers

* Collaborateand share best practices and other key insights with other PCPSs to helpsupport them, their regions, and maximize the entire team's effectiveness andefficiency as well as support and train newly hired PCPS team members


* ThroughSalesforce.com (SFDC) update account information regarding installation,in-service and training records, per corporate guidelines and establishedstandard operating procedures

* Consistentlyperform administrative responsibilities, such as: expense reports, activityreports, and other business requests

Performall online trainings within assigned timelines demonstrating proficiency.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

* Bachelors degree required
* Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience

Nice to Have

* Demonstrated ability toarticulate highly technical information to a diverse audience

* Ability to troubleshoot basictechnical issues that may occur with any of Medtronic GIH Portfolio of products

* Ability to establish and maintaingood working relationships with all functional areas
* Ability to multi-task and workindependently
* Good computerskills with specific skills in Microsoft Office: Power point, Excel, and Word

* 4-year College Degree withPreferred with a Nursing Degree, or Certificate or License in the HealthcareField

* Experience in the healthcarefield

* Professional education andtraining experience

* Demonstrated success in workingin a team setting and matrix managed environment

* Excellent interpersonal, writtenand verbal communication skills with individuals at all levels in business

* Strong organization and timemanagement skills

* Ability to apply principles oflogical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practicalproblems

* Usually inconjunction with an account manager, oversee successful execution of regionaland local educational courses
