Job Description

We are leading the way to person-centered care with MatrixCare, the premium Electronic Healthcare Record (EHR) solution for the long-term, post-acute care and senior living community. We are currently looking for an Analytics Intern to join our fast paced, team oriented environment. The culture at MatrixCare encourages innovation and empowerment. As an Analytics Intern, you will be given opportunities to work with our development teams in various capacities including:

* Working in a newly established Azure environment
* Setting up Dev Ops for an analytical solution
* Exploring an extensive dataset and building new understandings using R
* Building ETL processes using Microsoft SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services 2016)
* Reporting your findings using Microsoft SSAS (SQL Server Analysis Services 2016) and Microsoft Power BI
* Developing canned reporting in Microsoft SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services 2016)
* Working inside the latest versions of Visual Studio


* Experience using machine learning algorithms
* Knowledge in the use of statistics to inform large-scale data analysis
* Familiarity with Map/Reduce
* Familiarity with NoSQL databases (Cassandra, Hadoop or MongoDB)
* Familiarity with SQL Server or other RDMS (Relational Database Management System)
* Familiarity with PowerShell, Azure CLI, Azure DSC, Chef or other dev ops automation tools
* Familiarity with R or other statistical tools.
* Familiarity with Visual Studio or another IDE
* Experience with Windows environments (Windows Server 2016)
* Experience with at least one social API (e.g., Twitter, Facebook, Reddit)
* Experience with cleaning and diving into messy data
* Ability to present findings of data analysis to non-technical people


* Students seeking BSc, MSc or PhD in Computer Science or Mathematics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or similar field.

* Ability to quickly learn and develop expertise
* Knowledge of agile methodologies, code review, unit testing best practices
* Excellent communication and relationship skills and have a "can-do" attitude
* Globally distributed team collaboration
* English speaking
