Job Description

McKinney and Company is seeking an entry-level candidate for the civil engineering department. Responsibilities would include design and site plan production for mainly commercial, industrial and retail development. Respondents should have a BS degree in Civil Engineering or Landscape Architecture. EIT registration would be a plus, but not a requirement. This position requires good verbal and written communication skills, and good interpersonal skills to work with our valued clients and team members. Additional qualifications include:

* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from staff and clients.
* Ability to interpret and complete the design intent of more senior engineers and architects.
* Using AutoCAD Civil 3D software, prepare sketches, diagrams, details, schedules and single line layouts for various projects.
* Ability to develop finished production drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
* Ability to perform necessary calculations and assist in the preparation of production drawings and design notes.

Project types include renovation, adaptive reuse and tenant upfit projects to highly complex new facilities.
