Job Description

Provide project management for a team focused on selling and managing Building Controls, Automation, System Integrations, and retrofit projects. Maintain primary accountability for the financial, quality, and customer service success of the assigned team.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

* Project estimating and budgeting
* Revenue and cost projections
* Written proposals
* Marketing/sales
* Customer development and retention
* Planning and scheduling
* Cost control
* Ensuring quality and performance
* Timely invoicing of all work completed to date and conscientious follow-up on collection of money due to ensure positive cash flow
* Supervision of field crews
* Project coordination of assigned assistant project managers and coordinators.
* Safety awareness, training, promotion
* Warranty administration
* Design coordination

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

* 2 years project management experience over commercial construction, interiors, or upgrades related to mechanical or electrical systems
* Bachelor college degree or at least 4 years of BAS project management experience
* Estimating and sales experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Project management experience over building automation and control system projects such as construction, retrofit, and integration projects.
* Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent
* Co-op, intern or field experience in the BAS industry
* Advanced competencies in computer networking

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND CHARACTERISTICS

* Detail oriented
* Ability to manage multiple projects at different stages of construction
* Track record of providing excellent customer service - testimonials available upon request
* Responsiveness to urgent customer requests and project tasks
* Strong mechanical aptitude
* Must have a professional appearance and demeanor
* Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency, and meet challenging work goals
* Ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed as well as determine and manage priorities with minimal guidance.
* Must possess and maintain exceptional work ethic as well as uphold company values and demand the highest standard of conduct from self and others.
* Must have PC experience in Windows environments, working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, Web-enabled applications, and database software.
* Must be a self-starter, with ability to work well as part of a team and independently
* Basic knowledge of computer IP networks
* Working knowledge of project based accounting practices and terms.
* Familiarity with mechanical concepts such as flow, pressure, and heat transfer.

WORKING CONDITIIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORTS

* Work involves moderate exposure to elements, such as hot/cold temperatures, dirt, dust, and/or loud noises.
* Work environment involves some exposure to construction, mechanical and electrical-related hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
* Moderate physical effort. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 50 pounds and extensive standing and walking.
* Work requires local and occasional out-of-town travel to job sites and customer locations.
* Performance of the required duties will require physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, passenger use of construction personnel hoists, ability to climb ladders and scaffolds and to negotiate work areas under construction.
