Job Description

McIntyre Tool & Machine is seeking qualified Machinist/Toolmaker for a single temporary, full-time (32-40 hours per week and Monday through Friday with occasional weekends) position at its El Cajon location.

  • 24 months experience as a Toolmaker required. Applicants will be required to operate lathes, shop equipment, manufacturing tools, and other tools to create the tools and parts.
  • Knowledge of how to setup and run a Milltronics bed mill, Metal Inert Gas (MIG) and Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) machines, and surface grinders is essential.
  • Applicants will be expected to be able to decipher blueprints and have conversational programming experience using Milltronics 7200 control.
  • The position will begin on or about June 2018 and will continue through December 2018 with the option for continuing work contingent on demand.
  • All workers will be eligible for overtime at a rate of time and a half of the $25.00-hourly rate for the position.

Employee will be paid biweekly, but employer will make all deductions from the worker’s paycheck as required by law and a single workweek is used to compute wages due. Reimbursement will come in the form of a separate check at the time of the normal pay date. Similar reimbursement for the cost of return transportation and daily subsistence will be provided for the return home. Additionally, daily transportation costs will be reimbursed if needed. All H2-B workers will be reimbursed within their first week of work for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related expenses as required by law. Employer will provide, without charge or deposit charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the duties assigned. Employer does not provide room and board, but will reimburse an employee for transportation expenses and subsistence to and from their home to work whether in the United States or abroad—if employee completes 50 percent of the required work period under the contract—at the current department subsistence rates ($12.09 per day during travel to a maximum of $51.00 per day with receipts) in a separate check from employee’s regular check.
