Description:

The primary purpose of this role is to operate as a technical lead within the System Administrator
hierarchy. Additional responsibilities include system architecture and day-to- day responsibility for
installing, configuring and maintaining operating system software and hardware, including Servers,
web Servers, and other enterprise level resources in support of business processing requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Designs, secures, installs, monitors, maintains, and documents systems for day-to- day
  • management of the company Servers.
  • Develops tools and maintains systems operations procedures, change control records and other
  • required documentation and processes.
  • Provides performance tuning, networking, system security, IO monitoring and analysis and
  • troubleshoots all aspects of the operating environments.
  • Analyzes security, administers and maintains security audits and reports of sever access and
  • activity; participates in disaster recovery planning per corporate guidelines.
  • Coordinates, builds and tests large-scale, high availability, high transaction volume systems;
  • documents architecture, design, procedures, checklists and other system related information.
  • Provides system-wide, cross functional team management.
  • Collaborates with IT and system user management to assess network capacity needs.
  • Oversees the installation, support and maintenance of server upgrades, maintenance fixes and vendor-supplied patches.

  • 8 years experience in network administration with strong troubleshooting and intermediate networking
  • Cisco Wireless
  • Cisco DHCP
  • HP Switches
  • Cisco ASAs
  • Load-balancers (preferably F5)
  • SolarWinds
  • NetScout (Deep Packet Inspection)
  • Cisco Nexus
  • VPN
  • OSPF
  • BGP
  • EIGRP
  • Cisco ACS
  • RiverBed
  • BlueCoat/Proxy
  • Cisco VoIP
  • Prefer a CCNA
  • Good understanding of functions of the network
  • Understanding of Firewalls and load balancers
  • Strong knowledge of WAN circuits and interconnecting circuits
  • Good Cisco switching and routing skills
  • Managing WAN links and supporting WAN
  • Good experience with Hardware and how it interconnects in the network
  • Very fast learner, works independently and is driven
