Job Description

Title: ECommerce Project Manager

Duration: 12months +

Rate: $63/Hr.

Number of Positions: 1

Years of experience: 8+


  • There is a Program that has 5 projects under it and this person will be managing all 5 of them .some are small and some are large
  • They are making improvements and changes to the Ecommerce site, making changes to the mobile application on the bar code scanning devices, system integration project
  • It is business to business transactions for internal business transactions no direct transactions with the consumers
  • Must know the difference between funding for discovery and funding for execution
  • Do discovery through workshops\
  • Under general direction, responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of multiple large projects and provides a single point of contact for those projects.
  • Takes projects from original concept through final implementation.
  • Defines project scope and objectives.
  • Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
  • Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis.
  • Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables.
  • Optimizes resource utilization and achievement of client expectations.
  • Manages the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables.
  • Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team.
  • Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems.
  • Makes decision on client requirements and change in schedules.
  • Ensures budgetary compliance.
  • Assesses risks and develops mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
  • Participate in design discussions of issues, enhancements and projects, providing a technical expertise of the hybris eCommerce platform.
  • Experience communicating complex eCommerce constraints and opportunities to non-technical decision makers.
  • Create prototypes when needed.
  • Recommend approaches to increase revenues and profits for the business through the implementation of eCommerce/multichannel initiatives, both at strategic and tactical level.
  • Design user interaction models, workflows and user interfaces.
  • Communicate conceptual ideas.
  • Provide in depth knowledge of hybris platform and related products.
  • Stay up to date with best practices and innovation initiatives in the eCommerce environment.
  • Manage work relations and deliverables with 3rd party eCommerce partners and internal IT.
  • Maintain strong business user relationships while prioritizing issues with enhancements and providing honest feedback on deliverable dates.
  • Ensure all systems are aligned with the IT long term strategy.
  • Highly developed problem solving skills, tenacity, drive, proactive, creativity, sound planning and organizational abilities, strong improvement focus, ability to work in a fast-evolving and fast paced environment.

Key Background Needed!:

  • Strong experience with working as an E-Commerce PM
  • Must have strong knowledge of scope management
  • Agile experience strongly preferred
  • System integration experience
  • Needs strong knowledge of SDLC and understand all the phases
  • Five plus years of experience as programmer, architect, functional manager, business analyst or project manager on eCommerce B2B platforms (Preferably Hybris) and
  • Five years of hands-on project management experience managing B2B eCommerce project(s) using Agile methodology (Scrum Master Preferred)
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Develop project plans for eCommerce program and site enhancements.
  • Supervise a quality assurance process, including integration and system testing.
  • Coordination and communication of application tasks within the cross functional IT organization.
  • Identify and track issue logs, risks and project milestones.
  • Establish timely communication meetings and updates to the cross functional team on eCommerce Technology project.
  • Escalate to management any risks to project plans and/or major milestones in a timely fashion to avoid adverse effects on budget, delivery or implementation timelines.
  • Prioritization of priorities while managing several overlapping projects and enhancements while needing to support multiple platforms.
  • Managing outsourced services and hosting providers for on-going support
  • Experience managing technical engineers, architects, and developers
  • Communication to offshore vendor resources complex requirements to ensure the appropriate development is performed.
  • Agile project execution experience.
  • Support feasibility studies, project assessments & initiation (scoping, risk management and estimation).
