Job Description

Overview: In need of a Technology Business Management leader with a proven track record of operationalizing and leading a TBM/ITFM discipline for a global enterprise. This person will be implementing Apptio and will need to have a blend of technical, financial, business and marketing acumen in order to make it sustainable.

There is a need to evangelize the program, set expectations through communication and training, and manage outcomes to help deliver data and prioritize the following with a Matrix org:

  • Rationalization initiatives
  • Vendor consolidation
  • Technology standardization
  • Benchmarking
  • TCO discussions with the Business
  • Performance Management


  • Must have Bachelors or equivalent degree in Business, Management, or related field) but preferably an MBA or graduate degree in business related field
  • Must have strong relationship management--Ability to establish and build healthy working relations and partnerships with clients, vendors and peers.
  • Must have extensive experience in planning: Tactical, Strategic--Ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1 - 2 years) and strategic (3 - 5 years) planning in support of the business plan.
  • Must have financial experience - familiarity with Budgetary Planning and Cost Reporting
  • Must have proven leadership experience - Knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques for gaining the cooperation and support of others.
  • Should have experience in managing in a Matrix Environment--Ability to build and use effective working relationships within own department and across line, functional and geographic reporting lines.
  • Should have IT Systems Management knowledge - Knowledge of the asset and process management practices, requirements, and support services for the IT function.
  • Should have conflict Management experience - Knowledge of tools and techniques for anticipating, recognizing and effectively dealing with existing or potential conflicts at the individual, group or situation level.
  • Must have strong interpersonal relationships skills - Knowledge of approaches, tools and techniques for working with individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner
  • Should have strong ability to Influence; Ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.
  • Should have well-developed decision making and critical thinking; Knowledge of tools and techniques for effective use of a broad range of factors, assumptions, frameworks and perspectives when solving problems.
  • Must have proven industry experience in technology business management
  • Should have proven technical experience in management accounting and in computer application systems
  • Should have the ability to resolve complex factual and procedural issues
