Job Description

The McElroy Manufacturing Sales team is looking for a sales intern to assist in
various parts of the Sales Department. The Sales team would have meaningful work
for the Intern to engage through the internship. In most cases, each unit of the
department would have work that would require the Intern to work independently,
as well as collaboratively with the team members. Work would be varied assisting
in executing a McElroy University class, to data-mining for competitive
research, to co-creating online learning material, and assisting customers over
the phone. The Intern would also participate in many Department and Unit
meetings to gain a deeper understanding of the many roles involved in the
customer-facing aspect at McElroy.

Job Responsibilities:

Build Competitive Product Data

Seek and analyze competitor marketing and sales materials both on and offline

Build an org chart for channel partners

Organize client contact lists, schedule, perform and update contacts made in
CRM.

Cleaning up Distributor Locator information for our website

Resale Price Policy POS Data clean-up

ConstructConnect software mining & prospecting

Convert the paper drawings that we store in the mail room into searchable
documents that we can house in the tech services folder on the world drive.

They could match presentations to our books that we currently give to our
students.

Assist in developing some additional Online Learning modules. This could
include various aspects such as:

Graphic design

Audio/video recording and editing

Creation of student guides and other such supplements

Help develop and enhance our technical training modules (both online and in the
classroom)

Shadow throughout various departments and learn the challenges and rewards of
matrix management.

Understand the role of a Project Manager within the Sales Department and how
that role focuses on the customer experience as a way to improve external
service through internal efficiencies.
