McCormick & Company, Incorporated, a global leader in flavor, is seeking a part time Tax Co-Op in its Corporate Headquarters located in Sparks, MD. This is a two year, paid, learning opportunity which requires at least 10-20 hours per week, Monday through Friday during the school year. A flexible schedule can be arranged during the school year to coordinate with class schedules. This position is scheduled to start immediately. This is a paid position but housing allowance will NOT be granted for out of town candidates.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Tax Director, the Tax Intern will work in an office environment supporting various tax department functions. Responsibilities include:

* assistance in preparation of various supporting tax work-papers developing training materials and supporting training activities
* reconciliation schedules
* account analysis
* basic tax returns
* maintaining tax department comprehensive files

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Currently enrolled as an undergraduate college Freshman or Sophomore for the 2019-2020 school year
* Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
* Minimum GPA of 3.0
* Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
* Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment
* Ability to work independently, learn new tasks, solve problems, and show strong self-motivation and initiative
* Demonstrated organization and planning skills with ability to handle details
* Strong organizational and computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft office applications
* Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
