Job Description

H L Media, home of the Lexington Herald-Leader and Kentucky.com is seeking our next Digital Sales Assistant.  Knowledge of Advertising, some financial processes, and exceptional administrative skills are required.  

The ideal candidate will assist a team of sales professionals, work with our clients in person and by phone, and administer behind the scenes processes related to our business.  

Administrative position partnered with advertising sales team to perform day-to-day maintenance of customer account services.

  • Manages accounts' financial status, including account setup, aging, prepayment and account reconciliation.
  • Serves as back up for Recruitment, Real Estate, and Obituary teams.
  • Orders ads correctly and in a timely manner, including uploading ad materials and checking for any credit issues or other holds.
  • Proofreads all ads, provides proofs to clients and approves all ads by deadline.
  • College degree preferred as well as some office/administrative experience. 

Technical Skills • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google.
