Job Summary

The Human Resource Generalist position of McCarthy Burgess and Wolff (MB&W) is responsible to assist in the administration and records management of all Human Resource functional areas.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Must be able to handle highly confidential and sensitive information.
  • Participate in Human Resource record keeping review and updates.
  • Experience with benefits and enrollments.
  • Assist in the records management of new hires, benefits management, open enrollment and attendance tracking.
  • Assist in coordinating training programs, company meetings and functions, etc.
  • Maintain special reports and Human Resources information files (electronic and hard copy)
  • Reads, comprehends and adheres to the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act (FDCPA).
  • Reads, comprehends and adheres to any and all applicable International Organization for Standardization policies (ISO).

Job Requirements

  • Knowledge. Must be good with Microsoft Office programs and excellent communication skills and handle highly confidential and sensitive information.
  • Experience: At least 2+ years office experience.
  • Skills/Aptitudes: Organized and detail oriented with the demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multifaceted and works well under pressure. Must have the ability to work independently and interact with various levels of management and meet Wonderlic requirements. Good computer skills and proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software programs are required.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to prioritize conflicting demands, take initiative, work proactively and be resourceful; outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a diverse set of personalities and a strong client focus; and self-starter with a desire to grow/learn.
