Job Description

Department: Radiology

A Life-Changing Career


Responsibilities: This position is responsible for operating radiology equipment to perform routine diagnostic procedures and make clinical diagnostic films/images as requested by medical providers. Additional imaging skills, such as CT may be added based upon the professional competency and licensure of the individual. Provides routine diagnostic imaging procedures as requested by providers.

Qualifications: This position requires completion of course in radiology technology approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist. Advanced certification in modalities where the technologist is rotating.

Additional Qualifications: Requires strong organizational skills, clerical skills, positive communication and interpersonal skills, and demonstrated ability to work harmoniously with a team environment. Ability to research data and complete analysis to effectively implement change to meet Clinic objectives. Must have the ability to make recommendation to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulations or government law. Demonstrated ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Working knowledge of computers and software applications. The incumbent must have knowledge of standard policy, procedure and protocol as related to radiology and to the clinic in general. A solid working knowledge of anatomy and physiology sufficient to pinpoint area for Imaging, the ability to manage safety hazards common to radiology including equipment, body mechanics and patient movement. Must have ability to troubleshoot equipment operation and perform simple adjustments. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees and the public. Must be well organized, detail-oriented, accurate and efficient.

License or Certification: Advanced Certifications within 18 months of employment, or 24 months for per diem and supplemental employees (and all statements as outlined in the Enterprise Allied Health Certification Requirements and Maintenance Policy) if working in modality: Nuclear

Compensation Detail: Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $26.61 per hour.
Hours/Pay Period: 80
Schedule Details: This position would mainly be a evening position. It may on occasion require some overnights or day shifts. It would also require a rotation for working holidays. This position does not include a weekend schedule.
