Department: ARZ - Cont Med Education

A Life-Changing Career

Position Summary: The purpose of this internship is to gain first-hand experience in Healthcare organization marketing, within event management and continuing medical education (CME). This position will collaborate with Mayo Clinic CME Specialists in order to develop and execute effective marketing strategies within social media, email, and print promotional materials, and identify new marketing and promotional methods and trends within the industry.

Intern duties and responsibilities include:

*Perform marketing analysis for CME Courses (target audience demographics, competing meetings, location)

*Analyze best practices of marketing and sales materials, both on and off-line

*Assist in the distribution or delivering of marketing materials

*Provide support to social media efforts

*Monitor social media web analytics and provide reports of growth and other activity (impact/success rate)

*Research medical meeting sites, including blogs, forums, and websites to brainstorm ideas for new and innovative marketing and social media campaigns

*Survey attendees on-site at CME Courses to determine how they became informed of (or would prefer to be informed) courses

Responsibilities: Mayo Clinic in Arizona is seeking high school and college interns for Unpaid Educational Student Internship opportunities. Interns will work on a specific project that will provide a challenging learning opportunity. Responsibilities will vary based upon your course of study and the business unit to which you are assigned.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication, interpersonal, problem solving, organizational, and analytical skills, as well as, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. Placement in our internship program does not provide financial assistance with relocation, housing, or transportation. Location may be on the Phoenix or Scottsdale campus. Qualifications: Candidates must meet the following minimum qualifications for consideration: 2.5 Cumulative GPA. Authorized to work in the United States for the entire duration of the internship. Currently registered in school as a full-time student.

Additional Qualifications: Prior research and/or healthcare experience preferred. Prior internship experience preferred. Please attach the following documents to your application:
