Job Description

Department: Gastroenterology

A Life-Changing Career


Responsibilities: This Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant position involves providing care to adults with pancreatic disorders. Provisions of care include, but are not limited to, comprehensive assessment, diagnosis and treatment, ordering and interpretation of tests and procedures, and prescription of pharmacologic agents, treatments and non-pharmacologic therapies. This position will involve practice primarily with two to three physicians within the Pancreas Clinic, a setting with a well-established Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant role.


Qualifications: Masters prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current Minnesota RN license and APRN license and certification as an ANP or FNP.

Or graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the Minnesota State Board of Medical Practice.

Position requires DEA registration. BLS and ACLS certification required.

Additional Qualifications: Strong written and oral communication skills are required and must have demonstrated skill in working collaboratively with all members of the healthcare team.

Compensation Detail: Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approx $3,783.20, based on a full-time position.
