Responsibilities:
Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, seeks Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants for our challenging and dynamic hospitalist position. Mayo Clinic's cardiovascular care center is one of the largest in the United States, with ten cardiovascular surgeons on staff. Mayo Clinic cardiovascular surgeons perform more than 2,700 cardiovascular surgeries each year using state-of-the-art technology, including minimally invasive techniques. Mayo Clinic's cardiovascular NP/PAs care for heart and lung transplants, pediatric and adult cardiac congenital patients, as well as support an exciting VAD and ECMO program. We are ranked among the Best Hospitals for heart care and heart surgery by U.S. News & World Report! NP/PAs on this team work collaboratively with consultants, fellows, nursing, and other staff to provide 24/7 coverage managing the inpatient care of the CV surgical patient and also the status 1A pre-heart transplant, heart and lung transplant and VAD medical patients in the ICU and Progressive Care Units throughout their stay. Will not assist in the operating room. Shifts are 13 hour day/night rotation with every third weekend and 2 holidays per year. This schedule allows valued "off-time" for personal pursuits, development, and life/work balance.

Qualifications:
Masters prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current Minnesota RN license and certification or eligible to be certified as an FNP.

Or, graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the Minnesota State Board of Medical Practice. BLS and ACLS certification required.

Additional Qualifications: Must hold or be able to obtain and maintain BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications within first year. Must be eligible for DEA registration. Excellent time management skills essential to this position. Candidates for this position are asked to attach two letters of reference to their online application to be considered for this position.

Compensation Detail: Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approx $4,134.40, based on a full-time position.

Schedule Details: 13 hour shifts
Weekend Schedule: every third weekend and 2 holidays per year
