Job Description Summary:

We are seeking a motivated, experienced application engineer to provide support to our Product Definition team within AR&D located at Maxim's San Jose HQ. Our group is focused on creating new innovative products with a focus on power conversion using the latest technologies, pushing the boundaries of what is possible.

Job Description:

Responsibilities and Duties include but not limited to:

* Lab evaluation of new power conversion technologies
* Efficiency and Load Transient measurements
* Creating Labview based Lab automations as necessary
* Processing measured data and creating models to explain measurements results
* Design schematics and PCBs for new concept boards

Minimum Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
* Pursuing a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
* At least 1 year of experience related to power conversion field
* Understanding of circuit simulation tools and techniques and/or software development tools

Preferred Qualifications:

* Strong knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals, power electronics course
* Strong analytical skills
* Hands-on experience with lab equipment (i.e., oscilloscope, electronic-load, DAQ)
* Programming Digital PWM Controller
