Job Description Summary:

Maxim is seeking a Product Engineering intern in Chandler, Arizona to support Analog/Mixed-Signal IC development and production within our Automotive Business Unit. The candidate will be responsible for driving health and quality of Analog/Mixed Signal Power products from initial development through high-volume manufacturing. Responsibilities span across product characterization, yield and customer quality management. The candidate will be involved in interdisciplinary efforts involving design, test, applications, and process groups to drive resolution of outstanding product issues.

Job Description:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Customer quality:

* Evaluate customer returns through bench and FA analysis.
* Determine containment and corrective actions to prevent / eliminate customer returns.
* Collaborate with Customer Quality Managers to drive customer acceptance of containment and corrective actions.

Participate in tiger teams to drive resolution of customer issues in applications involving Maxim parts.

Design and develop component-level hardware for IC reliability stress.

Involved in multiple phases of a product life

* Provide DFM / DFT inputs to IOS
* Characterization
* Manufacturing Release
* Cost reduction
* Yield analysis
* Continuous improvement

Minimum Qualifications:

* Pursuing a Bachelor's degree Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field

Preferred Qualifications:

* Analog and digital circuit analysis
* Lab environment (understanding and operation of multi-meters, oscilloscopes, power)
* Programming (labview, C#, VB)
* Statistical analysis and understanding
