Maxim is seeking engineers to identify, define, model, prototype, and implement optical, analog, mixed-signal, sensor products. As an Advanced R&D Sensor Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on technology and product concepts for automotive, mobile, cloud & data, industrial, environmental, fitness, health, and security applications.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

* Research, definition, design, simulation, layout verification, characterization, and release to production of sensor designs
* System design for packaging, optical, mechanical, and embedded systems
* Leading and supporting product definition teams to develop product requirements and specifications
* Providing support for high volume manufacturing, and working with Product and Test teams to transfer designs to production
* Development of proof of concept prototypes for market validation
