Job Description

Interested in applying computational methods to solve a wide variety bioinformatics problems? If you are passionate about building software tools that scale from desktop applications to cluster computing come join our team.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate for this role will develop tools for MATLAB and the Bioinformatics Toolbox.  Specific areas of responsibility will include:

  • Streamlining workflows in Next Generation Sequencing data analysis
  • Building graphical interfaces
  • Architecting solutions that scale from desktop to clusters
  • Enhancing existing functionality. E.g. Mass Spectrometry, Microarrays, Sequence Analysis.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree and 3 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree) is required.

Additional Qualifications

  • Experience wtih MATLAB
  • Experience writing object oriented software
  • Knowledge of the software development process
  • Experience working with large data
