Working under the direction of the Engineering Manager, will be responsible for performing design, specification and development of the next generation of Simulink engine with a focus on code modularization and development of a next-generation plugin interface; implementing new architecture for Simulink core classes with a focus on scalability, sustainability and performance; re-architecting and modularizing existing Simulink code base to support new features; and working closely with other members of Simulink development team throughout the software design process.



Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

Master's degree or higher (or foreign education equivalent) in Engineering, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems and no experience.


Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Engineering, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems and five (5) years of experience in job offered or five (5) years of experience developing architecture for modularization and plug-in infrastructure.

Special Requirements:

* Demonstrated expertise in object oriented design and analysis using C++ or Java within a Linux or Windows environment; developing, analyzing and testing large-scale C++ or Java code base (1M+ lines of code) using Emacs, Visual Studio or Eclipse; and performing version control using SVN, Git or Perforce.
* Demonstrated expertise developing pluggable, declarative, and service-based architectures.
* Demonstrated expertise building Clang tools for large code base (1M+ lines of code) analysis and refactoring; and re-architecting and modularizing legacy code base.
* Demonstrated expertise developing C code for modeling dynamic systems to integrate with graphical programming languages -- Simulink or LabVIEW.
