Simulink Product Marketing Manager

You will work to drive Simulink adoption in higher education by developing marketing strategies, messaging and programs directed at Deans, Professors, Researchers and Students. Tasks will cover driving development of marketing and selling tools to increase awareness of, and to make sure Simulink is used at key universities.

You will be responsible for working with development teams to communicate product requirements, sales and customer success teams to position and market our products in education, and marketing colleagues to collaborate on key initiatives worldwide.

Responsibilities

* Engage with key universities, thought leaders and communities, to determine where Simulink is most useful in academia including courses and research areas.
* Engage with student communities to understand how to best message to students about Simulink as a career skill.
* Work closely with Educational Sales and Customer Success teams to build strategies to grow adoption of Simulink.
* Develop and deliver customer presentations in support of the strategies to influence instructors, students and researchers to teach, learn and use Simulink.
* Produce technical papers, articles, user stories and other thought leadership materials on Modeling & Simulation for Teaching in undergraduate curriculum.
* Work directly with key universities and MathWorks development teams to identify new product requirements for teaching with Simulink.



Minimum Qualifications

* A bachelor's degree and 3 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree) is required.
* Candidates must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time

Additional Qualifications

* Bachelors in mechanical/mechatronics engineering, electrical engineering, automotive engineering, aerospace engineering or related field preferred
* Proficiency with Simulink or other modeling and simulation tools preferred
* Knowledge of education markets, or experience teaching undergrate engineering courses
* Experience working with Marketing Communications to develop large scale marketing programs
* Excellent verbal and written communications skills
* Solid quantitative ability
* Strong overall marketing, research, and planning skills
* Excellent customer interaction skills
* MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
