Job Description

Longwood Ophthalmology

POSITION SUMMARY:

Provides a variety of duties to support the departmental needs. Depending in the intern assignment, tasks can vary from office/clerical to laboratory and research assistance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Opens, sorts, and distributes incoming mail; collects and stamps outgoing mail; delivers messages; collects and distributes paperwork; marks, tabulates, and files articles and records.

2. Answers telephone.

3. Photocopy, Scan and File documents.

4. Sorts and files records.

5. May operate related office and/or lab equipment.

6. Proofreading

7. Other duties as assigned depending on Department.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Must be currently enrolled at NorthEastern University.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Office and Patient care environments.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Lifting of 5 to 20 lbs.

Able to sit for long periods of time.

Able to more about the hospital either with or without accommodations.
